Minooka’s freshman baseball team defeated Joliet Central in a big win, 19-1
On April 10, Minooka would play at Joliet Central. the Indians would get out to an early lead and not look back.
“After the first or second inning, we woke the bats up and started playing good,” said freshman baseball player Colten Francisco.
Minooka pitchers did really well with Colten Francisco starting the game and Nathan Danielson coming in to finish the game off.
“I think Colten played the best he pitched really well,” said freshman baseball player Conner Wierzbowski.
The Indians bats were really hot with Levi Klein leading the team with 3 hits.
“We played really good defensive and our bats helped us win the game,” said freshman baseball player Will Dewalt.
The Indians are aggressive on the bases helping them accumulate more runs.
“We had about 19 total bases and about 10 of those were stolen bases. Guys are doing a really good job when they get on the base path and trying to take the extra bag,” said freshman coach Matt Shanahan.
