Minooka girls varsity basketball team had a great defensive game holding Yorkville to 46 points, but ended up losing 46-32 on Dec. 5.
“Holding Yorkville to 46 defensively was a great effort,” head coach John Placher said.
Minooka was also strong on the boards.
“We rebounded the ball really well,” junior Madelyn Kiper said.
Going 16 for 60 from the field on offense was the biggest struggle in the game.
”Our shots weren’t falling,” junior Kendall Thomas said.
To help improve the shooting percentage Thomas also said,” We need to be patient with our shots then we probably wouldn’t have had that bad of a shooting game and be more patient on offense.”
Placher had similar feelings.
“Overall execution on plays and better shot selection improve our shooting percentage,” Placher said.
