The Minooka freshman basketball team lost to Oswego East on Dec. 3, 57-34.
Minooka played well on both sides of the ball, playing great defense in the first half. But in the second half, things didn’t go as well, which led to Oswego East getting a powerful lead.
“We just gotta stay resilient, a loss is a loss,” freshman AJ Purcell said.
Minooka’s freshman basketball A team has a lot of great players and attributes, this includes defense and offense.
Gavin DuPree led the way with 15 points, Purcell had 6.
“Our team’s best attribute is our ability to play hard and win the little details of the game,” coach Isaiah DuPree said
Going towards the end of the game Minooka gave away a lot of fouls which let Oswego East gain a huge lead in the second half.
“We could have fouled less, because there were a lot of and 1s,” freshman Angel Munoz said.
