The Minooka boys freshman B basketball team played Providence Monday, Dec. 2. It was a close game, but Minooka was able to come out with the win.
One of the top players was Angelo Munoz with the leading score of 12 points. Angelo had a key play when he hit two back to back threes.
Although Minooka came out with the win, players and coaches believe that they could have done better in certain aspects of the game.
“My team performed at a pretty high standard, but we definitely need to improve on a couple of things. We came out with the win, but there is still a lot to improve on,” freshman Jose Leon said.
Some players believe that one of the aspects they can improve on is on offense.
“One of the things we can definitely improve on is our shot selection,” Munoz said
A favorite moment was when Munoz hit a step-back three to gain the lead for the Indians. The Indians played a good game with a winning score of 21-13.
“I think the team performed very well on Monday. It’s never easy to win so we are always happy about that,” said coach Isaiah DuPree.
