Not letting one match get ahead of any of them, Minooka varsity girls tennis beat Bolingbrook 7-0 at home on Sept. 10.
“They’re up on every spot,” head coach Trevor Shields said.
The girls were also showing their coach how it was done.
”We played awesome today,” Shields said.
The Minooka girls hit every spot of the court making Bolingbrook struggle to even hit the ball back. The girls also had good techniques and precision and aim with their shots on the court.
“I placed my serves very well acing the girl,” senior first singles player Courteney Cranston, who won her match, said.
Cranston led the girls, who placed all their serves and shots very well.
“We are working on stuff and improving everyday,” Shields said.
All of the girls were also competitive, not letting any of Bolingbrook get past their team at all. The varsity girls also put everyone in shock coming out with everyone winning their matches, which is rare, going 7-0.
“We love to see all the wins coming in,” Shields said.
Though the girls came off with a win by themselves, they still came together as a team.
“Watching the girls come off the court and coming as a team after matches was heartwarming,” senior Kenzie King said.
The girls are in for a good season this year, currently with a 3-2 team record, and working harder and harder each time they play.
“My team did very well, I’m very proud of how they played and how we played as a team and won,” said King.
