Courtney Walter plays middle blocker on the Minooka varsity volleyball team. She is a sophomore and has been playing volleyball for four years. This interview with Nook News has been edited for clarity and length.

Q: What are you most excited for this season?

A: This season I am most excited for team bonding and the atmosphere of home games.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about playing volleyball?

A: I like playing volleyball because it’s a team sport and we build many friendships together.

Q: Who is someone you look up to on the team?

A: Kendall Kozak because she is really good and is a very good leader. She knows how to run our offense and is a big part of our team.

Q: How are you preparing for the upcoming games?

A: During practice really working hard and focusing on my hitting during our scrimmages.

Q: Who is your favorite volleyball player?

A: Madisen Skinner (University of Texas) because she is a very well rounded player and knows how to place the ball on the court. She is a super good hitter and I enjoy watching her play.

Q: What do you do for fun outside of volleyball?

A: I like to hangout with my friends and relax whenever I get the chance.
