Mohammed Abdullah Dastgir Plays For the Minooka JV soccer team. He has been playing soccer since he was little. This interview with Nook News has been edited for clarity and length. 

Q: What are your goals for this season?

A: My goal is to help the team as much as I can the whole season. 

Q: Where are you from?

A: I am from Aurora, Ill.

Q: How long have you been a part of Minooka schools?

A: I’ve been apart of Minooka schools since I was in kindergarten.

Q: What is your favorite thing about soccer?

A: My favorite thing about soccer is the intensity of soccer, passion, and excitement of winning.

Q: Did anyone inspire you to play soccer?

A: Neymar Jr. is the one who inspired me to play soccer.

Q: What position do you play? Are you a starter?

A:  I play striker and sometimes central forward. Unfortunately I’m not a starter, but I will still try my best to improve.

Q: What are your skills in soccer?

A: My skills are being fast, having good dribbling, decent at shooting.

Q: How do you use your skills effectively

A: I use my speed so I can get to the ball faster, and I use my dribbling skills to make plays and get past the defender.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: My favorite food is Nihari. It’s a slow cooked meat dish in stew. 

Q: What’s your favorite movie?

A: My favorite movie is Rush Hour.
