Q: Can you walk us through your typical game day routine? Preparation through kickoff?
A: After school I go to the weight room and eat a couple sandwiches and some chips, drink some Gatorade. If it is a home game, you know we got a little bit of downtime. Then I put the pads on, headphones in, stare in the locker for about 30 minutes getting ready to murder somebody.
Q: What is your goal for this season?
A: Team goal obviously win state, personal goal get over that five-sack hump I come short every year with 4.5.
Q: Can you describe a time when you faced adversity in your career and how you overcame it?
A: I felt adversity last year playing D-line being 207 pounds. Pretty small when you’re going up against a guy like Elliot Van Der Male (Minooka Class of 2024) at practice. I just overcame my weight and new techniques taking on double teams just things like that.
Q: Where did you grow up, and how did that environment influence your passion for football?
A: I grew up right next to South, so I’ve always been Minooka bound. Loved the sport and had brothers play here. Always loved it as a kid.
Q: How do you stay focused in the game?
A: In a game I don’t know how I do it, but I tune everything out besides coach Harding and just lock in.
Q:What is your favorite food?
A: Favorite food is pot roast.
