Kendall Kozak plays setter and right side on the Minooka varsity volleyball team. She has been playing volleyball since she was in 5th grade. This interview with Nook News has been edited for clarity and length.
Q: What are your expectations for the team?
A: To get as far as we can in the postseason.
Q: What personal goals do you have for yourself?
A: To help the team win and get to 1,000 assists by senior year.
Q: What’s hard about volleyball?
A: The mental side of it.
Q: What is something people don’t know about volleyball?
A: The hours can be long and demanding.
Q: What motivates you?
A: The people around me. I’m motivated a lot by my family.

A: I love playing with all my friends, and I like the competitiveness.
