The Minooka girls varsity soccer team played Joliet Central at home and took the victory, winning 11-1.
The bout took place on April 4 at MCHS Central Campus. Minooka played this game and prevailed despite bad weather conditions. Rain made it slippery and harder to play.
Senior Kalyn Bebej scored 1 goal against Joliet Central.
“I thought I performed well, as well as the rest of the team, a lot of girls got minutes which was good for helping the team get chemistry and minutes,” Bebej said.
The Indians went out and played hard to pull this win off even with the bad weather.
Junior Cali Rucka scored 4 goals against the Steelmen.
“I think we did good and we possessed, we were also able to get the subs in to then create more opportunities for other people to score and get up the field,” Rucka said.
All the players had a great game and were able to gain team chemistry and a boost going forward the rest of the season.
The Minooka girls soccer team is currently 7-3-2.
