After the high-scoring win Joliet Central on Sept. 8, Minooka (2-1) is ready to do it again against Romeoville (0-3).
Minooka beat Joliet Central by a 69-14 final score. Quarterback Nate Maul put on a show and showed what he is capable of by lighting up the scoreboard in the first half with 49 points..
The Indians also played lights out on the defensive side of the ball as well, not giving up any points in the first half.
Will the Indians keep this up against the Romeoville Spartans?
The Indians will do some of the same by establishing the running game which opens up a full field of opportunities – whether that is a designed run or taking a deep shot down the field.
The Romeoville defense has given up at least three touchdowns in each of their three games played this season. I think that the Indians will see what they have in the pass game.
Knowing that running back Joey Partridge can have success on the ground against anyone, I think that the receivers will also have an increased role in the offense. Also with the versatility of Kameron Hopkins being able to throw the ball, this opens up some trick plays and potential big plays down the field.
The Indians will at least drop 50 points this week and continue to light up the scoreboard and hold Romeoville to a minimum of 10 points. The Indians will improve to 3-1 on the year and hand the Spartans another loss.
