Q&A with varsity basketball player Joe Wunar
Senior Joe Wunar is a forward on Minooka’s varsity basketball team. Wunar is a big contributor for the team. He’s one of their leading rebounders for the team. This interview for Nook News has been edited for length and clarity.
Q: How long have you been playing basketball for?
A: 9 years.
Q: What is your dream college?
A: My dream basketball school is UNC.
Q: Do you have any siblings?
A: I have one younger brother.
Q: Would you rather have 50 points or a game-winner?
A: I would rather have a game-winner.
Q: Who’s your favorite teammate?
A: Ryan Kuchar because he has a tough mentality that brings the team together.
Q: What other sports do you play?
A: I play baseball also.
Q: What’s the best moment you’ve had as a basketball player?
A: I think the best moment I have had as a player was winning a regional game last year.
Q: Why did you start playing basketball?
A: I started playing basketball for fun in third grade.
Q: What’s the biggest strength you have as a player?
A. The biggest strengths I have as a player is basketball IQ, and preparation before games.
