Freshman boys basketball beats Plainfield North
Center Zane Caves led a 4th quarter comeback for the freshman boys basketball team against Plainfield North on Dec. 6.
Caves led the team scoring with 20 points.
The Indians were down in the first 3 quarters, but they managed to put it together and get back in it in the 4th quarter.
Rhett Harris had 15 points to help the Indians battle back against the Tigers.
¨I think we started out slow but we picked it up more in the 2nd half and more specifically the 4th quarter,¨ said Harris.
Adam Cook hit some clutch free throws in the 4th quarter to help the Indians come back.
The final score of Minooka’s victory was 53-46.
¨They battled through adversity,” said coach George Shimko. “We struggled through three quarter of the game, but they never gave up, they stuck together, and they kept competing and made a huge 4th quarter comeback and ended up winning.”
