JV soccer drops one to Lincoln-Way West
The Minooka girls JV soccer team lost to Lincoln-Way West on April 2 with a score of 5-0.
“We did pretty good to keep up with them,” Deja Blount, freshman, said. “Overall, we did pretty good.”
Coach Michael Groark was proud of his girls with the way they battled throughout the game.
“Overall I was happy with our effort and resilience,” said Groark, “The game ended 5-0, but my girls continued to battle even after letting in several early goals.”
Minooka is keeping their heads up and looking forward to the future.
“We need to get back to practice and work on the little things,”said Ava Taranto, freshman.
As the girls get back to the drawing board, they look to their next game at Joliet Central on April 4 at 5 p.m.
