LaVine shines as Bulls beat 76ers
The Chicago Bulls played a hard fought game against the Philadelphia 76ers on March 6 at the United Center.
Zach LaVine led the team past the 76ers as he scored 39 points while shooting 14-26 from the field, 2-5 from three, and 9-13 from the charity stripe.
LaVine also got help from Robin Lopez and Otto Porter Jr. both combining for 34 points on a combined 43 percent from the field.
On the 76ers side, Jimmy Butler and Ben Simmons led the scoring for the team as they combined for 44 points on 47 percent from the field. Simmons notched his 38th double-double of the season this game. He also had 7 assists to go along with his double-double as well.
The Bulls in the fourth quarter erased a 10-point deficit, and LaVine scored 13 in the same quarter. LaVine, with 4.8 seconds left in the game, glided in the air for the layup to give the Bulls a 1-point lead, making the score 108-107 with 1.6 left on the clock.
The 76ers, with 1.6 seconds left on the game, tried to throw a lob for Butler but LaVine showed his pure athleticism by tipping the ball and grabbing it in the air to secure the win for the Bulls.
