Senior Nick Daniel takes the mat across from his opponent. Several lead changes later, Daniel has his man on his back —  pin!

Indians won 33-30 over the Cougars.

The dual match at Plainfield South occurred in their auditorium on Nov. 29.

“It was insane, everyone was going nuts,” Noah Boles, senior, said.

According to Boles, this match was a huge confidence booster for Daniel also.

“Before the match I was just thinking about the team and to leave it all on the mat. I was extremely proud of not just myself but the entire team,” Daniel said.

Although Daniel played a big part in the win over Plainfield South, six other Indians came out with wins: Drew Gutknecht, Nathan Berta, Jack McClimon, Jake Mensik, Alec Dufour, and Boles.

These victories all helped pave the way for an Indians win of the Battle of Ridge Road.

The Indians have moved to 8-3 on the season.
